Long walks in the forest are an integral part of my work.  Being immersed in nature permits me to have a relationship with the raw materials and with the spirit that sustains my daily efforts in front of the canvas.  From this connection, I have been able to explore new working methods and have encountered the materials that have an affinity with my work, and help me to unveil hidden concepts that become revealed in what I do.

I began this work with drawings.  Later, during my walks, I collected clays, leaves, fruits, seeds, and other objects that joined in the work.  Meditations that are born out of the walks, images that emerge, and the collection of different materials all converge in the silence of my studio and are portrayed into the work which I now present.
